Club Dover, formerly the Whitfield Club, was formed in 2009 and is the first and only Petanque club in Dover.
The club boast a number of players of varying abilities from International players to the complete Novice. In their first season in the East Kent Coastal League Division 2, the club won every game to take the league title in convincing style. Last season the club entered a 2nd team who convincingly won the third division.
The club is offers a friendly social atmosphere with the added bonus of having a few very experience players who are able to offer coaching for anyone who needs it. In fact many of the novice players from last season have improved immensely and are now able to compete competatively in the league.
